The Museum School was created with a simple but powerful belief, that East Dallas families deserve a school built withthem and for them. This school is the result of countless conversations with parents, educators, and community members who shared a common hope, a place where children are known, challenged, and inspired through meaningful learning experiences.

At TMS, learning is active and immersive. Students explore ideas through hands-on experiences, document their thinking, and share high-quality work that reflects curiosity, growth, and pride. Our extended day model allows time for deep learning, enrichment, and support, so every child has the opportunity to thrive.

A Message from the Principal
Welcome to The Museum School of East Dallas. As principal, one of my greatest joys is welcoming students and caregivers into a school community where learning feels meaningful, joyful, and connected to everyday life. I share this work not only as an educator, but as a parent myself, raising a curious daughter alongside my husband here in our community. Our family deeply believes in the power of schools to shape not just strong students, but strong people.

At TMS, students will not simply move from class to class, they will step into spaces designed to spark questions, encourage exploration, and help them see themselves as thinkers and creators. Each day, your child will be invited to experience learning in ways that build confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of belonging.

What sets our school apart is the intentional way we blend strong academics with authentic museum experiences. Whether students are documenting their thinking in their Explore Journals, collaborating with classmates, or discovering something new at one of our partner museums, they are developing the skills and habits that prepare them for the future, not just for a test or a grade.​
