IMMUNIZATIONS
Required Immunizations for School Entry
The Museum School of East Dallas (TMS) follows the immunization requirements established by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for public school students.
Required immunizations include (Additional vaccines may be required for certain grade levels):

DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis)

Polio

MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

Hepatitis B

Varicella (Chickenpox)

Hepatitis A

Recommended Immunizations
In addition to required vaccines, the Department of State Health Services recommends:

Influenza (Flu) vaccine (annual)

Immunization Exemptions
Families may request an exemption from immunization requirements for reasons of conscience, including religious beliefs.

FOOD ALLERGIES & ANAPHYLAXIS
The Museum School of East Dallas (TMS) is committed to supporting students with food allergies and reducing the risk of exposure to allergens that may cause anaphylaxis.
In accordance with Texas Education Code § 38.0151, TMS follows the guidelines developed by the Commissioner of State Health Services for the care of students with food allergies at risk for anaphylaxis.

BACTERIAL MENINGITIS INFORMATION
